I'm Patrick Kwon
I build, fix, and automate, turning problems into solutions and dreams into reality
My journey into tech began with a fascination for how things work and a love for solving problems. I started writing code as a hobby and soon realized that it was my true passion. From building simple websites to creating complex systems, I’ve never looked back.
Aside from software development, I’m also passionate about entrepreneurship. I believe in the power of tech to drive change, and I’m committed to pushing boundaries through my projects. Whether it’s a self-service kiosk, or an app designed to boost productivity, I’m always exploring new ideas to create something impactful.
When I’m not coding, you’ll likely find me connecting with other developers, entrepreneurs, and business owners. I’m always open to collaborations and opportunities to learn and grow with others.

🚀 My Journey
First Code
It all started in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown. As a high school student stuck at home, I didn’t have much to do — until I came across a Python crash course. That got me hooked. I remembered the classic snake game I used to love as a kid, and decided to recreate it using Pygame. With no tutorials or mentors, just a bit of documentation and curiosity, I managed to build it. That’s where my coding journey began.
College
I took the next step by enrolling in a computer science program. It wasn’t always easy, but I kept learning, building, and staying curious.
Competition Spark
In 2022, we joined a UI/UX competition without really knowing what to expect — and ended up winning first place. The theme was Sustainable Development Goals, and we built a concept called Taniawan, a cloud-farming app. I worked on the UI design, and that experience opened my eyes to the world of tech competitions. It wasn’t a programming contest, but it made me realize how fun and rewarding building things with a team can be.
First Freelance Project – PT Udio Mind Master
In 2022, I led the development of 'Produs' — a motivational SaaS app for sales agents — under PT Udio Mind Master. Beyond handling both front-end and back-end development using Next.js, TypeScript, and MySQL, I also directed two other programmers to ensure smooth coordination across features and timelines. The project strengthened my leadership, technical design, and product delivery skills, resulting in a scalable, production-ready system used by hundreds of sales agents. (https://produsboost.com/)
The Grind Pays Off
From one hackathon to another, I kept pushing myself. I lost many of them — but I learned even more. Eventually, that hard work paid off when our team won 3rd place at BNCC Technoscape Hackathon 6.0. I helped turn our Figma design into a working website within a tight 48-hour window. It was intense, but that moment proved how far I’d come.
Wings Scholarship Awardee
In September, I was honored to be selected as a Wings Scholarship awardee — covering my tuition from the fifth semester until graduation. The scholarship also opened doors to an internship opportunity at Wings Group, one of the biggest FMCG companies in Indonesia.
Our First Chinese Business Client — Iconnie
In December 2023, our team secured our first international client — a Chinese business owner expanding operations to Indonesia. We built a company profile website for PT. Kuda Laut Aksesoris Mobil Indonesia (Iconnie), focusing on a premium, responsive design that showcased their automotive accessory products, mission, and achievements. The project, valued between SGD 1,200 – 1,800, marked an exciting milestone in international collaboration. (https://iconnie-company-profile.vercel.app/)
Internship & Work Experience
At Wings Group, I work as a Software Engineer developing and optimizing corporate systems across multiple departments. I focus on improving performance, reliability, and automation within existing workflows. One of my key projects was building the kiosk system for Indonesia’s first automated noodle-making robot — a technically demanding initiative that combined real-time data handling, system integration, and user interface design. It was a challenging yet rewarding project that showcased how software can bring automation to life.
